Aquarius Season
Aquarius season is the last astrological season before we enter spring. Aquarius season feels like the true end of the previous year. We’ve had several months to embrace the change the new year has to offer and we are ready to fully step into the new astrological year which starts during Pisces season, while at the same time leaving the old year and the old us behind. The new energy starts to be embodied within us fully.
Pisces Rising Grief
I honestly dread Aquarius season every year because it does force me as a Pisces rising to deal with 12th house matters, and so for me, Aquarius season truly is an ending of sorts. It’s also that time where we as individuals are doing a lot of work but the intensity of that work won’t be seen until the Sun enters Pisces and we are renewed. When we are set aflame to the tasks at hand.
This year Aquarius season is also Eclipse season. There will be dramatic shifts in the area of our lives where the Aquarius/Leo axis is for each of us. I wrote about the first Eclipse in Aquarius in the Fall of 2025, which you can read here.
Year of The Horse
This is the year of the horse and a year of freedom. Even when we may be dealing with something physically holding us back, remember, true freedom exists in the mind. Perhaps what we need now is to free ourselves from some aspect of our lives that no longer resonates with us and to step fully into what truly does. Aquarius season will remind us what that something is. In that recognition, we will not only set our minds free, but our physical circumstances may also fall in line once we do. During the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, we have the help of a Square to Uranus to force us into making a choice. These planets are placed in fixed signs which means this will not be easy for us to do, but we must make the hard choices if we want to answer the higher calling for whatever parts of our lives these houses fall in. If we don’t make the difficult choices, we may find that life chooses to make them for us.
Aquarius / Leo Eclipses
This eclipse in Aquarius is the second in the Leo/Aquarius axis this round and the second in Aquarius since February 15, 2018. If you would like an idea of how these eclipses may continue to play out for you, refer back to the dates of September 7, 2006 and August 28, 2007. Those were the last eclipse dates when the North Node was in Aquarius. The remaining eclipse in Aquarius will be on August 28, 2026. Each of these eclipses will be telling a continuing story based on where Saturn and the Sun are for you in your birth chart and speaking in relation to the houses where those natal planets reside.
Jupiter in Detriment
For this eclipse season, Jupiter in Gemini is in detriment (any planet in the opposite sign in which it rules will be in detriment) and in Retrograde. Jupiter in Gemini will be Sextile the Moon and Trine the Sun during the Full Moon Eclipse in Leo on March 3, 2026. The great thing about the Full Moon eclipse is that we will have the help of Jupiter to effortlessly expand on what we are individually dealing with. For better or for worse. Just remember that the only power you have in any situation is your response to what is happening. In that way, nothing else truly matters. Your response and perception will dictate the experience.
Saturn’s Transit
With Aquarius’ Ruler, Saturn being in Pisces, which is another Jupiter ruled sign, there is a conversation of understanding happening. Especially in connection to what was going on during the New Moon in Aquarius back on February 27, 2025, when Saturn was still positioned in the house of Aquarius. Not only that but the Full Moon Eclipse in Aquarius on September 7, 2025. There is a story being told about these houses in your chart and what you are embracing as you continue to step forward into a new way of being in the Aquarius house. There’s No Going Back During this Eclipse Season
There is a sense of continuing down a known part of your life but a need to revamp or change old habits in order to operate in a way that is useful to you moving forward. Eclipse energy just like Jupiter energy, is the Full Moon amplified in the extreme. There will be turns that will be taken, that once ventured, cannot be taken back or undone. This isn’t something to fear but to embrace. Follow the path you are being called to take.
