This year’s Sagittarius new moon is practically the transition into the numerical new year. Now, if you’ve been studying astrology for a while, you’ll know that Sidereal Pisces season is actually the beginning of the new year. That is when we are watching everything spring into action. The earth is becoming anew again.
Your Rising Sign is the Key
On an individual level, there is another way to track our own astrological new year and that is when the New Moon is in our rising sign. Our rising sign is very important in an astrological context. It is where we set forth goals for our self, personalities and health. Those are usually aspects of self that people plan for in their new year’s resolutions. Property and finances are at a new beginning. There may be a need to push through as an entrepreneur, but it does require discipline and routine to see it through. Libra – 3rd House – Community, Siblings, Short Distance Travel, Vehicles, Communication, Writing, Social Media etc.
This new beginning involves siblings, community and/or extended family. Communication and daily routines may have to shift to see something through. Work or personal relationships can be revived at this time – to start something new or to enter another stage of a relationship. Your astrological new year begins November 8, 2026. The previous new year began October 21, 2025.
Virgo – 4th House – Home, Family, Parents
This new beginning is with your home and family. Shared resources and community will play a role. There may be pushback from others in your life. Just know that – as you seed the vision, friends may help you at a later point to help your vision become reality. Your astrological new year begins October 10, 2026. The previous new year began September 21, 2025 with a Partial Solar Eclipse.
Leo – 5th House – Children, Hobbies, Pleasure, Fun, Entrepreneurship
This new moon falls in your 5th house of pleasure and fun. Spirituality or foreign travel may play a role, or you may invite the idea of living abroad. Others may not agree with you, or they may choose not to participate. You may have to go it alone or find someone who will want to be part of the fun. Cancer – 6th House – Health, Routine, Pets, Daily Life, Public Enemies
Daily routines, health and your private life are important at this time. What are you sharing with others that may find a foothold in circles you may not actually want to be associated with? I get a sense of an energy leak. Work on protecting your energy through mindful practice. Discipline will be important to implement changes. Gemini – 7th House – Relationships, Contracts, The others in your life, Work Colleagues etc.
Relationships are the focus for this new moon. You may need to help someone with their daily routines or health, and this may somehow highlight something for you with your career or your public reputation. There may also be a reflection of another that is helping you to see yourself more clearly. Your astrological new year begins July 14, 2026.
Taurus – 8th House – Death, Transformation, Occult Matters, Ancestors
This is where you are at the mercy of others in a sense. This is perhaps the start of joining resources with another. There may be something hidden that you can’t yet see or perhaps you’ll have to overcome a fear in order to work through this change. Friends or authority figures may help you move through this, but it could also be a career move that may cause a change in direction. Capricorn – 12th House – Meditation, Dreams, Seclusion, Secrets, Secret Enemies
Your health, both mental and physical, connected to routine will be something to pay attention to. Community or siblings and or travel will play a role. There may be help given through extended family or parents to help you realize a dream of your own. Implementing tools such as meditation may help you overall.
